My Story
Most service businesses don’t struggle because they lack skill or dedication.
They struggle because the right customers simply can’t find them online.
Seven years ago, I saw this problem firsthand while helping a realtor manage her real estate transactions. She was excellent at what she did, but her marketing wasn’t producing real traction. Her website had very little visibility, her Google Business Profile had a duplicate listing issue, and the usual marketing efforts weren’t translating into real inquiries.
Instead of accepting that as normal, I became curious.
I started researching how businesses actually show up online. I fixed the duplicate listing issue on her Google Business Profile, improved the profile, worked on increasing website visibility, and experimented with social media. Within two weeks, we started seeing changes. The business began showing up more online, website traffic increased, and people were starting to notice the brand. After about a month of optimizing the Google Business Profile, the business appeared in the Google Map Pack.
That moment changed everything for me.
It showed me how powerful local visibility can be for businesses that rely on phone calls, inquiries, and booked appointments.
From there, curiosity turned into commitment. I invested in masterclasses, studied local search, and spent years learning through trial and error. Eventually, I was hired by two marketing agencies where I managed and optimized more than 100 Google Business Profiles for different industries including law firms, contractors, dental clinics, aesthetic clinics, children’s hospitals, and other service-based businesses.
As I continued working with businesses, I realized something important. Visibility from search is powerful, but it becomes even more effective when combined with strategic media buying. While SEO helps businesses show up when customers are actively searching, paid media allows them to reach the right audience and generate demand on a consistent basis.
One of the moments that confirmed I was on the right path was when phone calls started coming in back-to-back from organic traffic through Google Business Profiles while paid campaigns were also driving qualified inquiries. It reinforced something I had already noticed about the marketing industry.
Many agencies focus on vanity metrics like impressions, likes, and traffic reports. But business owners don’t build companies on vanity metrics. They build them on qualified leads, phone calls, and new customers.
